The
Executive Tower of the Ministry of the Economy will host the 11th edition of
the South School of Internet Governance (SSIG) from May 13
to May 17 , in which all actors and experts on governance Internet
will meet to present studies, panel discussions and international papers on
this great topic of global relevance.
What is Internet
Governance
For

there are no training programs that manage to teach Internet Governance in a
holistic perspective, an aspect that the South School of Internet
Governance aims to fill.

South School of
Internet Governance
This
year, the Internet MX Association (formerly AMIPCI) will
celebrate together with CCAT LAT the second edition in Mexico
of the South School of Internet Governance, whose main objective is to get
young students and professionals from different disciplines of Latin America
and the Caribbean achieve get involved in the Internet Governance
debate and understand its importance in the future and development of the web
in the region.
The
mission of the Southern Internet School of Governance is:

Increase
the representativeness of the Latin American and Caribbean region within the debate spaces of Internet Governance.
·
Create
a training space in which future
generations of professionals can actively participate in meetings that shape
the future of the Internet.
·
Train
new opinion leaders on
issues related to Internet Governance in each of the countries of the region.
Topics
to be discussed during the event include internet infrastructure and
governance, the digital economy, health, education, work and social
development, privacy and cybersecurity, and disruptive technologies.
In
addition, the Study of Habits of Internet Users in Mexico 2019 and
another study on the Future of Work as well as the ethical
aspects of Artificial Intelligence will be presented.
Internet Day 2019
The
event will end on May 17 with the celebration of World Internet Day ,
which will consist of a series of conferences and thematic panels in
which more than 60 national and international specialists will
give conferences around 5 central themes:
